Rodney Culbreath
Team Market Owner
Rodney Culbreath is one of the three Team Market Owners of the Valley Vipers, along with his wife, Tina, and son, Rze. A proud parent of a young athlete, Rodney has always supported Rze’s basketball career. After Rze joined the Tri-State Admirals, Rodney and his wife Tina discovered they had a new opportunity to support their son and improve the Winchester community. Together, they founded the Valley Vipers through The Basketball League in 2022, bringing the first professional basketball to Virginia. Rodney is also a founder of the I’m Just Me Movement, a nonprofit youth mentoring organization that is the charity of choice of the Valley Vipers. Rodney knows first hand the impact that positive role models can make in the lives of youth and hopes the Vipers can help inspire both youth and adults, whether on the court or in the community.

Rze Culbreath
Team Market Owner
Rze Culbreath is one of the three Team Market Owners of the Valley Vipers, along with his parents, Rodney and Tina Culbreath. In addition to being a TMO, Rze is a professional basketball player, having played both for The Basketball League’s Tri-State Admirals and overseas in Armenia. He brings a unique perspective as a former player in The Basketball League to guide the organization.
Along with his parents, Rze also founded the I’m Just Me Movement, a nonprofit youth mentoring organization in Winchester, Virginia. He uses his platform as an athlete to help inspire the youth he mentors and help them reach their full potential.
Josh Kirby
Director of Media Relations & Communications
Josh Kirby has been a key member of the Virginia Valley Vipers since day one, bringing energy and expertise to his role as Director of Media Relations & Communications while also serving as the unmistakable Voice of the Vipers. For three seasons, he has led the team’s media presence and delivered high‑energy play‑by‑play commentary that fans instantly recognize. Outside the organization, Josh hosts The Kirby on Sports Podcast, where he continues to share his passion for sports with a wider audience.
Aaron Kielhorn
Announcer
Aaron Kielhorn joins the Virginia Valley Vipers this season bringing his lifelong passion for sports and deep roots in the Loudoun community. Originally from Jackson, MI, Aaron is an avid supporter of local athletics and currently serves as the PA announcer for Loudoun Valley High School football and boys’ basketball. He also volunteers as a coach with Upper Loudoun Youth Football, Upper Loudoun Little League, and Fielder’s Choice Baseball Club. When he’s not behind the mic or on the field, Aaron enjoys working out at Bantam CrossFit and cheering on Michigan State and the William & Mary football team, where his son Cole plays defensive back. His energy and community spirit make him a great addition to the Vipers family.
Grant Lightner
PA
Grant Lightner has been a resident of Loudoun County since 2013, and Virginia since 2006. He is the PA announcer for the James Madison University Football team. Grant grew up in Salem, OR, becoming an avid Oregon State Beavers fan in his youth, going to basketball and football games with his Grandfather (Orland “Al” Lightner) and family. Grant enjoys volunteering, coaching, and working around the community in youth and semi-professional sports, and scouts. Grant lives outside Hamilton with his wife Helen, and 3 children (Frank/11, Callie/9, Kora/7). Grant enjoys the outdoors, golf, and is always looking for opportunities to get behind the mic.
Charlotte Miller
Videographer
Charlotte Miller joins the Virginia Valley Vipers as the team’s new videographer, bringing fresh talent and hands‑on experience from her recent graduation at James Madison University, where she earned a B.A. in Media Arts and Design with a concentration in Digital Video/Cinema and a minor in Sports Communications. While at JMU, she volunteered with the Athletics Creative Services Department, filmed and edited content for multiple sports programs, and worked as a replay and camera operator with Daktronics Inc. for football and basketball. Charlotte now resides in Purcellville, VA, and is excited to bring her creative eye and sports‑focused production skills to the upcoming Vipers season.
Quan Stinger
Event Coordinator
Quan Stinger serves as the Event Coordinator for the Virginia Valley Vipers this season, bringing a strong blend of professionalism, enthusiasm, and leadership to the organization. A former Division I football player at Norfolk State University, Quan now gives back to his community by coaching local high‑school basketball and football when he’s not spending time with family and friends. His competitive background and commitment to youth sports make him a valuable addition to the Vipers’ game‑day and event operations team.
Pastor Cory Welch
Team Chaplain
Pastor Cory Welch serves as the team chaplain for the Virginia Valley Vipers and is the Senior Pastor of Purcellville Baptist Church, where the Vipers will practice throughout the season. A family‑oriented leader deeply invested in the Purcellville community, Cory is excited to support the team both on and off the court. As he puts it, he hopes to help ensure that what players gain from being a Viper is more than just basketball, offering encouragement, guidance, and a meaningful connection between the team and the community.
Andrue Wagner
Interviewer
Andrue Wagner joins the Virginia Valley Vipers this season, bringing experience from his work with the Purcellville Cannons, where he interviewed players and connected with fans through @talkingcannons alongside his partner. His background spans multiple media roles, including game‑show hosting and voiceover work, showcasing his versatility and on‑air presence. Andrue also hosts his own podcast, @showlove4sports, where he shares his passion for sports and thoughtful analysis.
